Back in 2024, Mizuno Sportstyle introduced the Wave Prophecy Moc – and in this moment took the mantle as an early adopter of the middle ground between sneakers and formalwear. The Moc’s debut was met with great acclaim and sold out almost instantly.

Mizuno always stands for excellence and high-end craftsmanship, in the most premium segments of sport shoes. With the MXR, we wish to expand our universe to a wider audience, taking from the 2000s catalogue a silhouette that was already meant for this purpose, the Maximizer (*renamed MXR for the SPS range).

Reimagined through Sportstyle, it blends classic running aesthetics with everyday comfort and versatility. Featuring Mizuno’s signature Wave technology, Wave Rider delivers smooth cushioning, balanced stability, and a timeless silhouette—made to move effortlessly from the street to daily life.

Based on the WAVE DAICHI 4, a trail running shoe originally released in the late 2010s, the WAVE DAICHI LS is a reissued model that reflects current manufacturing technology.
